PhD Candidate
Arash Pourdamghani
Profile
Arash Pourdamghani is a research assistant in the INET group at Technische Universität Berlin, where he works under the supervision of Prof. Stefan Schmid. He is also associated with the PLAMADISO research group at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society. Previously, he was a researcher at the University of Vienna and completed research internships at IST Austria and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Alongside his research, he has more than ten years of teaching experience in theoretical and practical algorithmic topics. He has mentored more than 15 students and contributes to the research community through academic service.
Research focus
His research centers on the design and analysis of algorithms for networks, distributed systems, and blockchains. A particular focus is demand-aware and self-adjusting networks: communication systems that adapt their structure to changing traffic patterns.
